i changed the comments system to JS-Kit. that'll give you openid, facebook connect, and JS-Kit login for your login choices. there's a bit of a styling bug with fb connect: when you login to fb connect(in the popup), it reloads the comment form and the nick text field's text colour changes to black. black text on a dark gray background. kinda hard to read so bear with it because afait, there's no solution.
let me know how it works for whoever reads this

Private Grey
the last 2 episodes of greys anatomy and private practice have been interesting. there's been a huge crossover of storyline with Addison's brother. pretty much half the cast from greys and half the cast from PP were on the opposite show. basically, the shows blended together.
it's been a good storyline so far and i'd like to see it continue for another week(two would be great).

jPod
Just finished watching jPod season 1. Incredible cliffhanger. Why CBC, why? This show should never have been cancelled!
That's all I have to say.

Sanctuary
i just started watching the show from scifi called Sanctuary and i find that it's quite good. i had seen the web series before the tv version and it's interesting to see how the writers changed the script both subtly and not so subtly.
for a more subtle example: in the web episode(episode 5) where the 3 witches are rescued, just as the operation starts, Helen gives her daughter a few hand signals. Zimmerman asks what the swiggly signal was for. in the webisode, Helen says she cut off her daughter's allowance. in the tv series, Helen says "either we work together or we die." i guess the reason for the difference here was that the network wanted a more serious tone for the scene. personally, i liked the web series version of the line better.
an example where the difference is not so subtle: When Ashley meets John for the first time in the web series, they fight a bit and then Helen shows up and injects John with a drug in the parking garage. in the tv series, he devises a plan to get himself captured and brought into Sanctuary so he can then do more damage. the differences here are due to obvious reasons: the network wanted a more dramatic sequence. the tv series was more dramatic because John had a large, criminial mastermind-type plan designed to hit Helen where it hurts, both with her daughter and Sanctuary. the web series didn't touch Sanctuary at all, just Ashley. imagine it as the one-two punch of drama: the web series only had the first punch while the tv series had both.
that's about all i can remember for differences in terms of the script(i didn't even talk about the cgi stuff!). oh wait: David Hewlett was in the web series and as far as i can tell isn't in the tv series(i've only seen the first episode of the tv version all the way through so i could be wrong)
